Further oppurtunities and uses for HH, endless!

I absolutely amaze myself when I keep thinking of uses of the Hamshack Hotline. Another use I would think it could be useful for is world wide contest club. Ok I know some of the die hard HF’ers are saying wait a minute, its not radio. Ok true, but what about you have that big contest coming up for that your group is planning on competing in? You normally meet on a normal schedule to set your logistics. The bands one night are sub par but you really need to have that round table, to put the final touch on for a successful contest. Any thoughts on this. I know we are only at the tip of the iceberg here folks, I need you to help us create means that HH can help the amateur radio operator further.

  1. Hi Ken,
I have an idea for a weak signal conference call. We have a number of guys on 144.205 in the mornings in the mid west and east coast. I was think about a .205 conference or at least a weak signal conference number to coordinate SSB, CW and EME. What are your thoughts?

    1. Phil I think that is an awesome idea. Remember we have 3 public conferences 300, 302, and 314. You could use any of them, though preferably 300 or 314 as 302 is the “common” chat bridge. Or if you wish, you could submit for private bridge? Personally I would like to see if we could get some scheduled meetings on some of our alternate public’s. This would increase interest in various aspects of the Amateur Radio hobby. I am also looking into getting a google calendar up on website, that would show date and times of such conferences/nets. Your thoughts Phil? 73 Ken

  2. Many Thanks to the HH Team!
I submitted a ticket and we now have 4 public conference bridges:

WEAK SIGNAL IARU 1 Bridge 341
WEAK SIGNAL IARU 2 Bridge 342
WEAK SIGNAL IARU 3 Bridge 343
    WORLD WIDE EME Bridge 344

I am on 144.205 USB in the Midwest and 432.11 USB with the Chicago Q5 group most morning. My plan is to spread the word about the conference bridges and HH. Thanks again to all (Dave) to make it happen. Hope to hear you on the air soon.

For N3LRG, some call me N8-Lazy Rotten-Guy, or the LaRGe one. I hope your phonetics are better! 73’s

    Phil
