Multiple lines on servers

I would just like to remind folks, there will be no issuing of multiple lines on various servers. All extensions utilizing supported endpoints will be used on HHUS, HHEU, and HHAP. All non supported endpoints will be placed on HHX. All US, Canadian, and Mexican operators will be placed on HHUS, all European on HHEU, and all Asia Pacific on AP. We do this in order to have the most efficient service to you. Also if you already have hardline phone and wish to have a soft phone using Groundwire, you can do so on HHUS, HHEU, or HHAP. The only time you must go to HHX for soft phone is if you do not have an HH hardline phone. Thank you for your attention on this matter.

Reflection/New Year

I would like to reflect on 2018. We started with Johns vision, Dave W2DAN, and myself KA1EZH. It was just a shot in the dark, then we got the backing of another half a dozen like minded individuals who who saw promise in what we were attempting to offer.

We started with a server in a closet, expanded to Europe, and then the cloud. Today I announced server pier in Asia Pacific. Where will 2019 bring us? I thank and continue to ask for your individual word of mouth promotion. We have not just grown from the original three’s vision but from all of our users compliments, criticisms and suggestions.

I am hoping that 2019 will bring us much more fun and growth to the hobby of Amateur Radio and communications, especially here at Hamshack Hotline inc.

I and the entire HHOP’s would like to wish you all a very Happy and Safe New Year! 73 Ken

Donations

I would like to remind everyone that we recently became a non profit organization. If you like the services on Hamshack Hotline, go to our website and click on the “Donate” button. Your contributions will help defer operational costs. Ty

Need UK/European PR Liaison

I am asking any of my UK folks if someone might like to assist me in PR? We are looking to boost our numbers on HHEU, I can’t do this on my own. I feel we need someone from the UK/Europe, as I believe the uses for Hamshack Hotline are far different than here in the states. I need to have a slant to promote the need for HH to the European amateur radio operators. Do I have any willing parties?

Further oppurtunities and uses for HH, endless!

I absolutely amaze myself when I keep thinking of uses of the Hamshack Hotline. Another use I would think it could be useful for is world wide contest club. Ok I know some of the die hard HF’ers are saying wait a minute, its not radio. Ok true, but what about you have that big contest coming up for that your group is planning on competing in? You normally meet on a normal schedule to set your logistics. The bands one night are sub par but you really need to have that round table, to put the final touch on for a successful contest. Any thoughts on this. I know we are only at the tip of the iceberg here folks, I need you to help us create means that HH can help the amateur radio operator further.

Update 12-8-18

Well we have been two weeks up on the cloud, and it appears we have squared away all the squeaks and tweaks that were needed. Our trunks are all back up and functioning, and all the RF links are playing nicely.

We also are just approaching the year mark here at Hamshack Hotline Inc. Yes you are right you noticed the “incorporated”. We are now a non profit entity and soon will be able to accept donations to assist in maintaining the Hamshack Hotline.

So what better time than around the holidays to get yourself, or a ham friend a Hamshack Hotline extension. Either HHUS, HHEU, or HHX.

Also make note that we are in the Holiday Season, and many of us are attending various Holiday outings. This may extend our normal 24 to 48 hour response time to a ticket. And again we are all volunteer, our families and jobs come first.

Happy Holidays to all

Hamshack Hotline Unlicensed discontinued!

The HHUL Server has been closed. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the service is simply not being used enough to just the time and expense involved. We fully support and recommend Hamshack Hotline, and will continue to do so. If you are a licensed amateur radio operator, please feel free to request an replacement line on HHUS, HHEU, or HHX.
