Need UK/European PR Liaison

I am asking any of my UK folks if someone might like to assist me in PR? We are looking to boost our numbers on HHEU, I can’t do this on my own. I feel we need someone from the UK/Europe, as I believe the uses for Hamshack Hotline are far different than here in the states. I need to have a slant to promote the need for HH to the European amateur radio operators. Do I have any willing parties?

Further oppurtunities and uses for HH, endless!

I absolutely amaze myself when I keep thinking of uses of the Hamshack Hotline. Another use I would think it could be useful for is world wide contest club. Ok I know some of the die hard HF’ers are saying wait a minute, its not radio. Ok true, but what about you have that big contest coming up for that your group is planning on competing in? You normally meet on a normal schedule to set your logistics. The bands one night are sub par but you really need to have that round table, to put the final touch on for a successful contest. Any thoughts on this. I know we are only at the tip of the iceberg here folks, I need you to help us create means that HH can help the amateur radio operator further.

Update 12-8-18

Well we have been two weeks up on the cloud, and it appears we have squared away all the squeaks and tweaks that were needed. Our trunks are all back up and functioning, and all the RF links are playing nicely.

We also are just approaching the year mark here at Hamshack Hotline Inc. Yes you are right you noticed the “incorporated”. We are now a non profit entity and soon will be able to accept donations to assist in maintaining the Hamshack Hotline.

So what better time than around the holidays to get yourself, or a ham friend a Hamshack Hotline extension. Either HHUS, HHEU, or HHX.

Also make note that we are in the Holiday Season, and many of us are attending various Holiday outings. This may extend our normal 24 to 48 hour response time to a ticket. And again we are all volunteer, our families and jobs come first.

Happy Holidays to all

Hamshack Hotline Unlicensed discontinued!

The HHUL Server has been closed. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the service is simply not being used enough to just the time and expense involved. We fully support and recommend Hamshack Hotline, and will continue to do so. If you are a licensed amateur radio operator, please feel free to request an replacement line on HHUS, HHEU, or HHX.

What Can You Use Hamshack Hotline For?

So what can you use Hamshack Hotline for? The uses are endless. How about another nerdy thing in the corner of your ham shack desk, you can use it to call that ham friend across the country or world to set that schedule contact up. Or maybe your Amateur Radio organizations administrative staff needing a last minute behind the scenes brief before an event. You can also create RF link with various RF, and VoIP links connected, making for easy access back to the home system when your away from it by dialling in from a Hamshack Hotline hard, or soft phone. Plus our standard promotion of it use in EOC’s, EMA’s, and NWS. So please check us out.

Promoting Hamshack Hotline

Here I go with further promotion. Now that we are on the cloud, our help desk fully back up to speed, and our RF linking project is complete. I ask that we continue to promote Hamshack Hotline. I would like all of you to share with a friend Ham or Non Hams to join the Hamshack Hotline network. We have HHUS, HHEU, HHUL, and HHX which can cater to us all. For our EOC’s, EMA’s, NWS I believe our addition of RF linking can improve our scope of emergency communications. So please talk us up. 73 Ken

Reflection

As I am sitting here sipping on the morning caffeine, I am sitting back reflecting while I listen in, on Denny KD5DLJ’s DigiComme Cafe Breakfast club net(ext#94005). To think that a year ago none of us ever envisioned such a growth at HamShack Hotline in less than a year. We started off just with phones, now we have introduced the RF cross linking which brings things full circle from VOIP back to RF. Awesome!
