Thank you to W4JMF Jason Ford

Just want to thank Jason Matthew Ford W4JMF for adding our Hamshack Hotline website link to their website. I would ask that you all check out the World Wide Amateur Radio Guild inc https://theguildglobal.org/

  1. Hello,

No panic on this one but as president of the Newport County Radio Club (W1SYE.ORG), I was introduced to your project by W2DAN, Dave Neal. I suspect other members would be interested in your project and will be spreading the news.

I have many year of telecom experience and will register to HHX as soon as I figure it out. I tried to sort through the FAQ and finding it difficult to register (e.g I can’t read the Covenant) so I’m taking this path. Helping out will be possible but I’m not yet sure of the best role for us.

I am interested in whether you allow softphones and have access to Yealink Voip phones and the designers if those could be tried and approved.

Our club is implementing a AREDN network and have interest in the potential of HHX in this context.

    1. Paul thank you for you kind assessment. I have updated both Covenant and its link, so that should be corrected. We are also currently in process of tweaking FAQ’s in fact myself and a few others on the HHops team are doing that as I type tonight. Softphones on HHC(Core) not allowed unless you have hardline number. On experimental side there is no restriction. Right now we are only supporting listed endpoints. If you want to donate a phone to HH lab we can attempt to see if we can add to provisioning after testing.

HHX(Experimental) you can run any phone, PBX, or softphone. It is on you to know your phones and or PBX, as other than intial provisioning/credentilaing information we offer no support.
I hope this clarifies some things for you Paul, and hope to see you on HH soon. 73 Ken KA1EZH
